Hartmut Engler elected for Secretary General |

 Der neue GSA-Vorstand
Main point on the agenda was the election/reelection of the Board of Directors. President and Treasurer were reelected (Dieter and Birgitt Hussmann), while Hartmut Engler was elected Secretary General.
José Pires, founding member and Secretary General since 2005, left the office for business reasons and had to be replaced. President Dieter Hussmann thanked José for all his work during the last 6 years and acknowledged the commitment of the outgoing Secretary General.
The new holder of the office is Hartmut Engler from Rodenbach. The 61 year old independent commercial agent was elected unanimously by the members present. Hartmut stated that he is looking forward to enjoying his new tasks during the coming two years.
Lore Wüllner and Thomas Müller were elected for auditors.
The remaining items of the agenda were discussed and accepted very smoothly.
The President gave a review of this years' activities and planned actions for 2012.
Auditors Lore Wüllner and Herbert Beinlich attested Treasurer Birgitt Hussmann an excellent work and proposed to discharge the Board. That discharge was approved unanimously by the mebers present.
Highlight in 2011 was the first official friendly match in Shuffleboard history between Germany and Norway and the 1. European Open in Sochi, which was initialized by the Allen and the Hussmann family.
Sebastian Runge won the German Nationals for the third time in 2011. On top of that Germany is home of the Runner-up for this years' World Singles Championships. Torben Hussmann from Langenselbold is to be congratulated for this major success as well as for participating in the finals of the US Nationals in Lakeside, Ohio and for winning another US state tournament. Based on his national and international achievements Torben finishes at the top of the newly established ISA World Ranking. This malkes him the first "International Shuffler of the Year".
The President announced the main targets for the association for 2012. Apart from improving the current situation in the National Shuffleboard Centre the GSA intends to conclude the 1. German School Championships in Shuffleboard.
President Dieter Hussmann thanked all GSA members for their ongoin commitment and support and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

German Champion participates in Florida tournaments |

 Deutscher Meister S. Runge
Sebastian, who at the the end of November won the German Nationals for the third time, accepted an invitation from Hall of Famer Earl Ball to stay at his home in Betmar.
During the Florida State tournament Sebastian teamed up with Stan Williamson from North Florida.
It is remarkable that the international friendship is increasing , first and formeost by Shufflers participating in international Championships.
