– is a nice little town near Frankfurt with a population of 13,000. It is the registered seat of the German Shuffleboard Association (GSA) and home of the "National Shuffleboard Center" with covered 6 courts, where the German Nationals are taking place each year in november.

Lebkuchen
– (or Pfefferkuchen) is a traditional German product baked for Christmas, somewhat resembling soft gingerbread. Similar cookies have a history that extends back to the Egyptians, but the style of the traditional Lebkuchen was probably invented by Medieval monks in Franconia, Germany in the 13th century. Lebkuchen bakers were recorded as early as 1296 in Ulm, and 1395 in Nürnberg (Nuremberg). The latter being the most famous exporter today, of the product that is known as Nürnberger Lebkuchen.

Lederhosen
– ("leather trousers" in German) are knee-breeches (knickerbockers or shorts) made of leather. The German pronunciation is [ˈleːdə.hoːzən]. Traditionally, lederhosen were worn by Germanic men of the Alpine and surrounding regions, including Austria, the highlands and mountains of Southern Germany, the German-speaking part of Italy's province of Bolzano-Bozen (formerly part of Austria until after World War I) but not Switzerland.

Luther, Martin
– (10 November 1483 - 18 February 1546) was a German theologian and founder of Lutheranism. He changed the course of Western civilization by initiating the Protestant Reformation. As a priest and theology professor, he confronted indulgence salesmen with his The Ninety-Five Theses in 1517. The Luther Bible (a translation of the Bible into the language of the people, instead of Latin) was first printed with both testaments in 1534.
