More than 3 million German TV-viewers were thrilled when the game show "Schlag den Raab" came close to determine who wins the 750.000 Dollar Jackpot. Click to see live mit (Video) . Host Stefan Raab and his opponent were caught by surprise when the 13th and final game was announced: Shuffleboard. As you can see from their play, none of them had ever played that family game before. This mega money duel was competently supervised by GSA President Dieter Hussmann and Sven Wuellner.
The whole story was a brilliant surprise coup, top secret until Saturday evening, prepared in the background for months to promote Shuffleboard in Germany.
No one could have thought it would end with a big bang:

The likeable candidate Oliver, a 41 year old professor, had to face a matchball game as he merely could hold on to his fierce opponent and host Stefan Raab.
Not really familiar with the speed of the court, Stefan kitchened himself with his very first shot and desperately tried to score in all his following attempts, while Oliver only cleared the board. Right before the fourth and final frame started, Stefan was -3 : 0 behind.

Once again, Oliver's game was clear the board and with his last disc he managed to clear and stick with his disc in the High 7 area. To win the game, Stefan had to either clear Oliver's disc and score himself or kitchen Oliver with his last hammer. A shot, difficult enough for a World Champion, nearly impossible for an Amateur. To cut a long story short: he did it. He did it by accident, but he did it.

It was a close disc, but any doubts were removed by Linesman Sven's "IN". The final score was -3 to -10 in Stefan's favor and at 0.52am the game was over.
Sheer madness, but this last shot was worth 750.000 US Dollars! A shot for history.
