The first tournament was held in 2006. Although being such a short period of time it is good tradition for the participants to arrive in Langenselbold as early as Friday evening to meet and greet old and new friends and prepare for the tournament.
From Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon matches are played to determine the new German Champion. There are no divisions, men and women, old and young palyers, all paly for the same trophy. This is the feature that makes Shuffleboard a unique and different kind of sport and which attracts all kind of players. The reigning German Champion might well remember all his victories last year, but at the same time think about his only defeat: against 10 year old Moritz Schloegl.
Whether there will be similar incidents this year is not clear yet. However, all GSA members are asked to sign on for The German Nationals. To keep up the high level of efficiency, details will be made available to all members by electronic mail as usual.
