She had the lead during most of the game, but seemed to be out of the race right before the final, when "Dicki Hoppenstedt" and "Basti13" (both known as Dieter and Sebastian) surpassed her. With a perfect prediction for the score of the final she advanced to the top again to win the game.
After Ina Schwarten won the Prediction game for the EURO 2008 it is the second time that a woman wins this thought to be male area. It was everything but luck as participants, besides predicting the correct scores of each Championship match, had to predict a few other difficult outcomes.
Therefore Birgitt's win is well deserved and all the men are asked to try again for the EURO 2012.
